A few questions we find often come to mind when one is seeking.
Want to learn more about our church? Here are some general frequently asked questions to get you started.
There is parking in front of the church and also parking available in the area just east of the church itself. Both areas are free of charge.
Contact UsMembership is easily accessible and accomplished. The first step is for you to decide you’d like to join us, and letting anyone in the congregation know this beautiful fact, but also contact any of the council members, and Pastor Ned, listed on the Our Team page. The next step is a one-on-one discussion with Pastor Ned. Subsequently, there is a service where you will be introduced to the congregation and welcomed. We do not hold a “membership” class as such. Pastor Ned will give you documents to keep.
Our TeamAs a congregation primarily made up of senior members, we cherish the opportunity to be a multi-generational “spiritual family.” We do not have a separate children’s program; instead, we invite children to remain in the service to experience worship, music, and prayer alongside their parents.
We believe there is a unique beauty in children and seniors worshiping together. We aren’t bothered by a little “joyful noise” or a wiggly toddler—in fact, our members enjoy seeing young faces in our pews! You are more than welcome to bring quiet activities for your little ones to enjoy during the service.
Living in the Care of the Good ShepherdOur beliefs are defined in three statements: our mission, our vision, and our core values. You can explore these in more detail here in this web site. Also, Pastor Ned will make every opportunity to discuss our three belief statements and practices with you.
About UsWe hold traditional worship services defined as Biblically based Christ-centered worship every Sunday morning at 10:30am. The services generally are about 45 minutes long. Adoration, Meditation, and Closing hymns are sung every service. We offer congregation members participation in the services with opportunities to read scriptures responsively interacting with the leader of the scripture reading. We participate monthly in Holy Communion serving everyone who desires to take the bread and cup.
A fully digitized, computerized screen is used and integrated into all aspects of the services.
There is a “coffee gathering” every Sunday morning approximately one-half hour before the service that people enjoy together. We are a church family. Please come and join with us around a cup of coffee and some coffee cake, or other goodies!
Then, join with all in worshiping.
Contact UsThe church building sanctuary and social hall areas are all on one level. There is wheelchair access from the sidewalk to both via a ramp to the central door which then leads to either the sanctuary or social hall.
