Our Mission: St. Stephen’s UCC 8520 Tonawanda Creek Rd. – [our church] defines itself as an “Outreach Congregation.” We seek various opportunities to assist others who are in need of such assistance with food, and also non-food items. Our Beliefs: We believe in Jesus Christ as our Redeeming Savior, Son of God, who voluntarily came to earth as fully man and fully God whose ultimate purpose was his own sacrifice for each of us on the cross. And, on the cross he became sin in for us. Further, we believe in Jesus’ resurrection from the dead after 3 days just as he said, and we believe in his ascension to sit at the right hand of God the Holy Father. There, we believe, he continues as priest and as advocate for us as our Redeeming Lord.
Our Vision: We believe in doing for others as a central part of our ministry. Our vision is to love God, and to love others as ourselves as directed by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Further, our vision is to seek for justice on this earth for those in need.
Our Core Value: Christ Crucified.
Our Core Value, the main thing of all main things -We believe that without the cross, as St. Paul has said so well, we who claim Christianity would be the biggest fools on the planet. We believe that Jesus lowered himself, walked among our “dirt,” and mingled with us in gracious, precious love for the purpose of becoming sin for us and dying for us on the horrors of the cross.
